We have been incredibly busy doing what we always do, riding, roping, dog trialing and taking care of our four legged friends.
The biggest change in my life the last several moths (besides Ten Miles TO Saturday Night coming out) is that I've taken over the care and handling (and hopefully, the showing) of Win, the Wild Child dog. He is two now and going through the teen-age years, so he listens sometimes, plays around a lot and shows moments of amazing brilliance. He's about to drive me crazy, but he is such a people dog that everyone, including me, forgives him all his transgressions.
.It is scary how dry we are here in California. It seems that a large part of what we worry about is water: The farmers are being cut short and no one seems to wonder what will happen when we have food shortages and nothing to feed our animals. We are lucky to have good pasture for our fat cows and plenty of feed for the horses and roping steers.
I'm working on my next book, as always, and as always, I promise to be better and keeping in touch..
